Army has severe chaplain shortage (OneNewsNow.com)

 

A Pentagon advisor and national defense analyst says the U.S. Army has such a severe shortage of chaplains that some reserve units may be forced to deploy without chaplains. The Army’s Office of the Chief of Chaplains in Washington, DC, reports that branch is currently short by about 520 chaplains, with 80 Regular Army vacancies and 440 openings in the National Guard and Reserves.
